What do I do?

If removing the toilet seat, consider using a large utility sink for cleaning.

Create a mixture of dishwashing liquid and water or any of the suggested cleaning products above.

Clean the toilet seat using the mixture and a soft sponge or cloth.

Rinse clean.

Dry exterior with a soft cloth.

Let the toilet seat air dry as well to ensure the hinge area dries completely.

For wood toilet seats:

Use only a mild detergent such as dishwashing soap and a soft cloth.

Wash toilet seat clean.

Wipe down with a damp cloth.

What else should I know?

Avoid using aerosol products.

Do not allow abrasive chemicals and cosmetics (such as ﬁngernail polish and aftershave) to come in

contact with the toilet seat as they can damage the ﬁnish.
