Carburetor Adjustments and

Troubleshooting

The carburetor is designed to deliver the correct

fuel-to-air mixture to the engine under all operating

conditions. It has been calibrated at the factory and

is not adjustable.

NOTE: To ensure correct engine operation at

ȱȱŗśŘśȱȱǻśŖŖŖȱĞǯǼǰȱȱ¢ȱ

be necessary to have a Kohler Engine Service

size before it is operated at lower altitudes, or

overheating and engine damage may result.

Storage

If the engine will be out of service for two months or

more, follow the storage procedure below:

ȱ Řǯȱ Change the oil while the engine is still warm from

ǯȱȱȱȱȱȱŞǯ

ȱ řǯȱ ȱȱȱȱȱȱȱȱȱȱ

completely emptied, or the gasoline must be

treated with a stabilizer to prevent deterioration.

If you choose to use a stabilizer, follow the

manufacturer's recommendations. Fill the fuel

ȱȱǰȱȱǰȱȱȱȱ

ȱȱŘȬřȱȱȱȱ£ȱȱȱ

the carburetor.

If engine troubles appear to be fuel system related,

hard to start, runs roughly, or stalls at low-idle speed,

it may be necessary to have the carburetor serviced by

a Kohler Engine Service Dealer.
