Install New Rotating Ring

- Place the keypad on a flat surface with the decal side down. Align the

tabs with the new rotating ring. Gently compress the tabs until the ring

slides over the keypad. Snap the ring into place on the keypad. The

ring should rotate freely around the keypad.

- Make sure the detent spring is in place in the housing. The spring has

tabs that must be located properly in the housing. The plastic detent

button is located at the bottom.

- MakesuretheO-ringisinthecorrectlocationonthebackofthe

keypad.

- Align the keypad to the housing with the keypad tab at the top. Slip

the tool between the whirlpool and keypad ring in the install position.

Gently press on the face of the keypad while using the tool to rotate the

keypad approximately 30_ clockwise until it locks in position in the

housing.

Verify Function

- Restore power to the whirlpool.

- The keypad will automatically download information to the whirlpool

control. This process takes approximately five seconds. A light

sequence will illuminate up and down the indicator bar until the

process is complete.

- Press the power button and verify that all modes work properly. Refer

to the Homeowners Guide shipped with your whirlpool.

- If a remote control is used, refer to the Homeowners Guide for

programming instructions.
