additional information.
Flooring
NOTICE: Provide adequate floor support.
Install adequate floor support.
NOTICE: To ensure a successful installation, it is important that the bath be installed on a level subfloor.
Verify the subfloor is level. Adjust for level, if necessary.
Framing
CAUTION: Risk of property damage. Do not support the bath by the rim. The bath must be
supported by the support blocks only.
NOTICE: Use wood or concrete framing for the bath frame. Wood framing will provide the best
vibracoustic quality.
NOTICE: If installing the control amplifier between studs, stud spacing should be 16 (406 mm).
NOTE: The framing illustrated is less finished wall and deck materials. Allow for wall and deck material
thicknesses when framing. When planning the construction of the framing, take into account the thickness
of the finished deck and access panel materials.
NOTICE: To ensure the bath does not rest on the rim, provide a minimum 1/16 (2 mm) gap between the
framing and the underside of the rim.
NOTICE: This bath must be installed as a drop-in or island installation. If a deck-mount faucet will be
installed, plan a space on the deck to accommodate the faucet.
Construct the framing.
