Roughing-In
Before You Begin
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. The power supply and valve are rated to operate in temperatures
up to 104°F (40°C). Do not install the power supply or valve under a whirlpool surround or any
location where the temperature may reach temperatures over 104°F (40°C).
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. This valve contains plastic and rubber components; do not apply
excessive heat near the valve or apply flux or acids directly onto the valve.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Do not apply petroleum-based lubricants to the valve
components.
CAUTION: Risk of product damage. Inlet and outlet threaded connections should be made using
sealant tape or liquid sealant. Do not use oil-based, non-setting compounds, such as plumbers putty, on
the threaded connections.
CAUTION: Risk of solenoid failure. No outlet should not flow more than 10 gal/min.
Observe all local plumbing, building, and electrical codes.
Provide access for servicing.
Read these instructions and determine all required components along with their installation
locations before beginning this installation.
For optimum performance, 3/4 dedicated water supply lines are recommended.
A minimum 2 (5.1 cm) drain or a drain system capable of handling a water flow of 20 gpm (76
lpm) is recommended for this installation.
