Turn the valve stem counterclockwise

to the "OFF" position.

Attach the stem adapter. Begin with the standard wall installation. Attach the

handle. If the stem adapter is too long or the handle bonnet is not tight against the

escutcheon, turn the stem adapter around and try the shallow wall installation.
